FAQs

What does non-medical home care mean?

“Non-medical” home care is a term used to describe a wide range of health care services that are provided in your home. Those services can include anything that does not require a doctor or nurse to perform and may include: transportation to medical appointments, medication reminders, cooking, cleaning, and assistance with hygiene and paying bills, just to name a few.

Why choose AdvoCare?

AdvoCare offers a wide range of non-medical services to their clients, in the comfort of their own homes. We provide both short and long term care for clients for many reasons. Some are recovering from a recent injury or surgery and need help around their home while they recover, or some have a long term disability that requires them to have consistent help. AdvoCare chooses high quality caregivers to serve our clients and offers a very hands on owner that meets regularly with clients and their caregivers.

Do you provide services to those living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?

Yes, our caregivers can assist those that need additional support or services that a facility may not offer or personalized one-on-one care.

Are AdvoCare services available 24/7 ?

AdvoCare provides 24/7 support to our clients. We can also provide live-in care for clients with special needs. There is also always an on-call manager available for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is the difference between around the clock care and live-in care?

Around the clock care is available for clients that need assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but would not like to have a caregiver living in their home. AdvoCare would split up the daily shifts, rotating qualified caregivers so that you have someone in your home 24/7 without anyone living there. A live-in caregiver can be provided upon request. This caregiver would be living in your home with you and be responsible for all of your care.

How do you choose my caregiver?

AdvoCare chooses your caregiver based upon your needs and interests. We try to match caregivers with similar interests and qualities that you are looking for. All AdvoCare employees are required to pass a federal background check, a drug test, and must have a clean driving record prior to becoming part of our team.

Does AdvoCare provide transportation?

Yes, AdvoCare provides transportation to all clients upon request. Our caregivers will drive clients to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, or even social outings, just to name a few. Transportation can either be provided in the caregivers car or in the clients car if one is available.
