Aging in Place
9 out of 10 seniors would choose to age at home rather some other type of facility. Americans today are living longer, as 11,000 people are turning age 65 daily. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that in 2018, there were 52 million people age 65 and over. They went on to project that number to be 95 million in 2060. However, there are many challenges and costs to maintain the independence of aging at home. Technology has developed apps for devices and wearables to help individuals make that dream into a reality. We will write about these technology advances for seniors more in the future.
