AdvoCare Caregivers
As it has been stated, AdvoCare Home Care Services caregivers are professionally trained to assist seniors in Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) such as: toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing/undressing, transferring, eating, etc. However, their roles extend beyond the ADL’s. During any given day they also assist in the following areas:
SAFETY – they are constantly observing and recording the behavior of the client, noting any indications of illness or disease, as well looking for any potentially dangerous situations that exist in the house
INDEPENDENCE – caregivers are there to assist and teach the senior how to be safe, encouraging self-reliance.
COMPANIONSHIP – for the client many times the caregiver becomes a companion, they chat, play games or go on excursions. The client develops trust and the caregiver becomes a confidant, while the caregiver grows ever closer to the client, forming a lasting bond.
STRESS REDUCTION – is by far the greatest benefit to the family. The time demands and concerns are reduced very quickly, knowing that the loved one is receiving unquestionable care and service from a professionally trained caregiver.
CLEANLINESS – is an absolute in caregiving. Consistently keeping the home clean, and monitoring or assisting with personal hygiene of the client, at the highest sanitary standards.
